In the film industry, the term “treatment” refers to the summary of a future film, the step before a script, that the creator sends around different production companies with the hope of it finally being made into a film. The majority are never produced. This is the story of one of those forty-something script writers in the middle of a personal crisis, but also the story of several characters who share the desire to write, the story of their past, what they are and what they would have liked to have been. Five galvanic actors play twenty characters who go through a number of spaces and times in a theatrical proposal that tends towards the film side of things and that is one of the best-written and most fun comedies seen in a long time. Following his acclaimed 40 años de paz (40 years of peace), Pablo Remón is back at the Principal again to surprise, entertain and excite with his agile, fluid theatre writing with excellent and fun dialogues, that verge on the autobiographical, where he is able to laugh at himself by digging up the miseries of Spanish cinema in an exercise of caustic irony, self-criticism and continuous references to film and television.
