Considered one of the most comprehensive singers of the current operatic scene, Gregory Kunde has sung regularly in the most important opera houses around the world, along with the best orchestras and conductors. Memorable are the successes achieved throughout his career in the areas of Italian and French bel canto. Moreover, in recent years, he has forged a great prestige in the "Verdian" repertoire that has earned him the singular distinction of being the only tenor in recent history to interpret the two Otellos, Rossini's and Verdi's, in the same season (2012/13, 2014/15 and 2015/16). It is a milestone that has not gone unnoticed by the most prestigious awards, the International Opera Awards, which recognised him as the Best Male Singer in 2016.
