Petit comes to Teatre Principal de Palma to take a journey through his discography together with good friends on stage, showcasing the best of the island's music scene in recent decades. The songs result from Joan Ernest Castells' musical and poetic restlessness, with influences from British music and American roots fused with his particular vision of the world. His music was closely associated with bands such as American Music Club, Bon Iver and Eef Barzelay from the beginning, and his lyrics with those of Tom Waits or the forlornness of a 21st century Charles Bukowski. Six albums and 15 years later, having performed all over Spain and represented the Balearic Islands and Catalonia at festivals in Canada and Portugal, Petit's musical style takes us on a very personal journey. Beneath the surface of the emotions that inhabit us with music that includes folk, R&B, Americana, soundtracks and the jazziest bossanova.
