Escalar un gegant (Climbing a mountain) is a light tragicomedy seasoned with a sweet and sour taste. It researches into the father-son relationships (and the family ones in general) and how they deteriorate little by little by the action of time and distance.

The way all this is done is through an unexpected encounter between a father and his son. Both will be bound to live together for the first time in a very long time. A storm raging their town will make them share the same space for several days without much to do apart from talking and trying to understand one another.

The characters have to face a dilemma but the play pursues neither to be politically correct nor to defend any specific philosophy or to get an only moral out of it. The story tells about a personal experience that exposes us to the views of two different real characters with all their defects and strengths.

A coproduction between Palma’s Teatre Principal and Cultural-ment.
This show has been programmed within the events of the Fira B! festival.
