150 anys fent camí

This year is the 150 anniversary of the Banda Lira Esporlerina. This concert is one of the main acts of this celebration. It is outlined as a revision of the most significant pieces throughout the history of the band.

Apart from this review that goes through a huge variety of styles such as paso doble, pop, foxtrot, waltz, zarzuela, lyrical music, film soundtrack, or rock music, the audience will also be able to listen for the first time to the new creation that the Federación Balear de Bandes requested to the composer José María Moreno García. With the title Hivernant, this work is dedicated to the healthcare workers and scientists who, since the first moments of the pandemics derived from COVID19, thoroughly fought against the virus. This piece has the point of view of the author’s personal experience during the pandemics. They will also release the paso doble Banda Lira Esporlerina, a gift from Felip Moral Serrano in June 2023 as a recognition of this career that celebrates a century and a half of success.
