Festa de la Poesia

Once more, hear the poetry of fourteen individual voices. Our Festival de Poesia de la Mediterrània (Mediterranean poetry festival) has now been running for twenty years, singing and performing through the music of words all of the most private, most epic, most everyday, and most human stories. Fourteen poets, creators of verbal music that give us, in many different languages (Arabic, French, Galician or Catalan, Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian, Romanian, Greek, Basque, Polish or Afrikaans), the message of their poetry, a source of peace, serenity, libertarian energy, of fertile individuality and of truth belonging to everyone.

Pascal Comelade, composer and pianist, will create the fabric of sound that with his folk-based melodies sets in motion the metrics of the poetic word, spoken live and on stage.
