A free version of Roberto Zucco, by Bernard-Marie Koltés.
About the elephants calmly crossing a meadow. About the rhinoceros sinking in the mud. About cars stumbling to the bottom of a cliff. About trains derailing. About glasses broken down to pieces. About overstepped limits. About the self-destruction resulting from the fight for freedom. About self-destruction as the only possible way towards freedom.
Asseguts sota un arbre mirant com passen els elefants (Sitting under a tree and watching the elephants passing by) fuses together a free version of Roberto Zucco (1988) by the French author Bernard-Marie Koltés, and Edmont (1982) by the North American author David Mamet. A reinterpretation of the two most relevant dramatic texts from the eighties, which are regarded in the present as classics of contemporary dramatic literature.
