Marta Barceló’s play speaks about old age and a decent death.
When the doctors practice a palliative sedation on Coloma, her two daughters Marina and Eva, and her son Albert move into her home awaiting for the tragic end. The expected last 24 hours finally become six very long days. In the meantime, the three descendants live together again in the house after twenty.
Els darrers sis dies relates Coloma Mestre Riutort’s last days alive. She is seventy eight years old and suffers from Alzheimer. A work that lays on the table, through a great sense of humor, highly relevant themes in these days such as the management of old age, the cures, the capacity to let things flow, and the right to a decent death.
