Conde de Torrefiel, a company directed by
Pablo Gisbert and Tanya Beyeler, occupies a key position in the Spanish
avant-garde performing arts scene. Its productions combine literature, dance
and the plastic arts. In this work it looks at the situation of young people in
Europe, suspended in these critical years in an undefined space, a kind of
limbo that they have been cast into by a series of social conventions.
Confusion, rootlessness, indolence, discontent and frustration are the most
common states among this lost generation. Conde de Torrefiel explores the
extent to which their freedom has been limited. The purpose? Beyond
denunciation, this is about once again activating our imagination and the capacity
for wonder.
