Four climbers are halfway up FitzRoy, a mountain in southern Patagonia's ice field, between Argentina and Chile, one of the world's most complicated climbing routes and never reached by a female roped team. Bad weather has stopped them, and while they wait for conditions to improve, sheltered on a rock ledge, unexpected problems arise that make them doubt whether to pull off the ascent or give up. To continue would mean taking risks they had not anticipated and could endanger their lives; to give up would be to give up the possibility of reaching a milestone they may never be able to repeat.
The duo Jordi Galceran and Sergi Belbel take up where they left off after 20 years of El mètode Grönholm's success, 8 of El Crèdit and 5 of Paraules encadenades. And they do it with a stellar cast: Sílvia Bel, Sara Espígul, Míriam Iscla and Natalia Sánchez.
