An actor faces the challenge of playing Richard III, the ruthless monarch of Shakespeare's tragedy. He has been playing supporting roles all his life and thinks he deserves this chance on his own. During the character's development, the affinities between the actor and the English monarch begin to emerge. Both are ambitious and intelligent. As their life stories intertwine, the relationship between actor, character and viewer grows ever closer. As Richard III, Joan does not settle for anything less; he craves power and isn't prepared to waste his time with faint-hearted, over-sensitive or mediocre actors. As their life stories are linked, the relationship between actor, character and viewer becomes closer and closer.
Història d'un senglar revolves around contemporary mechanisms of power, desire and resentment, and offers a reflection on the limits of human ambition.
