A portrait of an epoch where the most secret desires constantly fight against social pressure.
L'aranya is a romantic tragedy that depicts the hopes and disillusions, the love and indifference, and the fidelity and infidelity of a couple who cannot have offspring. This uncomfortable work charged with tension is set in a grocery store where the most secret desires and the common social pressure of a closed-minded society cohabit.
L’aranya, one of the last Guimerà’s work yet to be discovered, arrives in Palma with Jordi Prat I Coll’s dramaturgy and direction, who approaches the classic from a very personal perspective.
