Quim Bigas is the
creator of multifaceted scenes, his shows combining performance, dance and
drama. His intense and energetic solo performance, Molar, analyses
happiness as a feeling that can be constructed, regulated and interpreted. In
order to do so, he portrays a variety of images relating to this emotional
state, such as Coca-cola publicity, the euphoria of a goal, musicals, a
hyper-motivated person etc. This collection of scenarios and references
reflects how the sensation of wellbeing is transformed into a stereotype in a
commercial strategy to encourage consumption. The other aspect that Bigas explores
is its collective dimension - how it catches from one mind to another, from one
body to another, until it unleashes an unstoppable force.
