Alexandre Ballester performs a dramaturgical exercise that is way ahead of its time with the play Siau Benvingut. We can certainly see Beckett, Camus and Artaud influences in his style, but only with today's eyes can we find formal resonances that are much closer to him. And he does all this, starting from a simple, popular and traditionalist theatre to end up weaving a complex and rich work on so many levels.
In a well-to-do, wealthy Mallorcan summer house, a globetrotter (now old and tired of life) moves in every year in September, without anyone knowing, and spends the winter there until the masters return at the beginning of summer. This year, however, he will arrive at the house with company.
A co-production of the Ajuntament de sa Pobla and ATAPIB (Associació de Teatres i Auditoris Públics de les Illes Balears).
