Pedro Casablanc is undoubtedly an actor on a roll. He never stops working. He is ubiquitous in films and on television. However, it is the theatre, his natural habitat, where he has unleashed his most fulfilled and inspired projects in recent times. His performances in Ruz-Bárcenas (made into a film following its success on stage) and Hacia la alegría are good examples. Although the work where he really showed his wide range of registers most intensely and rigorously was Yo, Feuerbach, which premiered at the Lliure and was then staged at the Abadía, the latter being the theatre whose ranks he was trained in. In the work by the German playwright Tankred Dorst, he plays a veteran actor who has fallen into decline, but who still loves his professions despite his misfortunes. Between vanity and pride, vulnerability and decadence, cynicism and irony, Casablanc offers a memorable performance, under the direction of Antonio Simón.
